The story of Chop'D Ratz Garage started many moons ago with a guy named Cooley that grew up with a passion and hobby for hot rods, motorcycles, rat rods and fabrication.
I like to compare his brain to a hamster spinning on a wheel. What I mean is Cooley's remarkable brain never stops. His brain never stops dreaming, imagining, visioning and thinking of the next build, his current projects, customers' current builds and how he can get one step further than the day before. From numbers and measurements constantly running through his head to insane ideas that only someone of his mindset can bring to life.
Cooley has always owned some type of hot rod or truck that he would put his own spin and twist to it because let's face it, we don't keep anything stock.
We are blessed with a team of friends we call family that are always willing to join in on builds and projects and helping us finish by a certain date or major show. One of our prized assets is our good friend Lincoln B. Our mastermind when it comes to wiring and all the smart stuff. He is as good as gold and we could not get ahead without his assistance and expertise.
At a semi-annual favorite show, The Redneck Rumble, Cooley met another gearhead that shares the same passions, interests and life's enjoyments. Well this person happened to be an awesome chick named Candice Ballard of BallardsC10 (yes this is she typing, don't tell anyone) who would soon turn into his best friend, soul mate and partner in crime with builds and projects. Candice grew up in the General Motors world going to car shows and Rod Run since she was in her mother's belly being rocked to sleep by the engine roars of her favorite Chevys. She grew up passionate about Chevrolet and GMC trucks and cars and went on to buy and refurbish many of her own and resell projects. Her specialty is squarebodies and C10s of course. Cooley, Candice and Lincoln have been steadily busy on her major frame-off restoration 1977 C10 SquareBarbie and LowDown Lucille. The build lists stay long but fun and interesting.
Chop'D Ratz Garage master electrician and wiring guru is the talented Lincoln B. And without him we would be absolutely lost most days and nights trying to get builds and projects done.

Cooley and Candice also have two talented young men at the ages of 10 and 8 that love selling their artwork, photography and metal art to raise money for their own builds and projects like go-carts and their other motor powered inventions. The oldest, Easton, also enjoys videoing and documenting car shows and garage builds at home. Be sure to look him up and show your support to the mullet heads!
